I will share how I took an existing unit back to the drawing board to “UbD it” through workshops, feedback, and simple trial and error.
A big breakthrough for me came in the form of UbD backwards design, and as I learned and adopted its framework, I reevaluated my intended goals for students as whole mathematicians.
Educators introducing UbD into their classroom might should not worry that Essential Questions feel lofty or above an elementary understanding.
